TPR represents photographers who display innovative approaches and strong personal dedication to the medium, and aims to showcase these photographers to a wider audience, including the general public, gallery curators, art lovers and photography collectors. The majority of the photographers associated with The Photography Room are based in Australia, with selected photographers represented from Europe and the USA.

The Photography Room is located within the Old Bus Depot at the Kingston Foreshore, which opens every Sunday from 10am-4pm. We are close to cafés, restaurants and bars, as well as other contemporary art galleries, such as the Canberra Glassworks and Megalo Printmaking Studio. The Photography Room is also within walking distance to the National Gallery of Australia and the National Portrait Gallery.
