Aishah Kenton (b.1998)
Aishah Kenton is an early career photographer, primarily working with black & white 35mm and medium format film. Aishah is currently studying in her final year of a Fine Arts degree at the Australian National University (School of Art) in Canberra, majoring in Photomedia.
With a strong interest in photographs made from her everyday environment, Aishah’s photographs embrace the immediacy of experience, offering an insight to her relationship with the world. The acts of looking, feeling and responding are at the centre of her practice.
Aishah was selected for inclusion in the 2017 Maggie Diaz Photography Prize for Women at Brightspace Gallery in Melbourne, and in the same year was commissioned to photograph the cover of Art Monthly’s special 300th edition of the magazine.
Aishah lives between Canberra, Australia and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and is available for commissioned work.
