When I first saw this book in 1998, I was still trying to define the way I saw the world through my photography. I found myself intent on walking around and photographing what I discovered.
This book helped me to see that my direction in photography was worth the effort and encouraged me in my approach.
The essays in this book give an insight into the broader story to the photographs and this is why I love this book.
