Davy O'Rourke (b.1979)
Davy O'Rourke lives in Cairns, Far North Queensland, where he is the owner of a popular café/restaurant called Mama Coco. Davy developed his interest in photography from his father, the acclaimed Australian documentary filmmaker Dennis O'Rourke. Davy continues in his father's (giant) footsteps, choosing to photograph in an observational documentary fashion.
In 1996 Davy's final year photography project for the HSC was selected for ArtExpress and exhibited at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Since finishing school, Davy has maintained his interest in photography, choosing to pursue it as an amateur only.
