Michael Masters is a photographer based in Canberra, Australia. Michael's photography explores a range of genres including documentary, political, street and landscape photography.
In 2014-15 Michael lived in Washington DC where he photographed the ‘Black Lives Matter’ political movement and affiliated street demonstrations opposing racism and acts of police violence.
Michael has exhibited his photographs at the 2015 Ballarat International Foto Biennale’s Fringe program, Huw Davis Gallery at PhotoAccess (ACT) and at the High Court of Australia. Michael's photographs have also been published work in journals and travel magazines.
Described as ‘quiet observations’ of cities, places and spaces, Michael’s photographs give the viewer opportunity to reflect on their relationship with the environments in which they live.
